Believe it or not, that's what we thought of the Reagan crowds that gathered early in his bid for president in 1980. Ron Paul is compared to Reagan.

Reagan is dead and gone. Why is there so much talk about reaganesque politics, is beyond me. Reagan was as exciting as his regeanomics. I got less back on my income tax returns under Reagan then any time in my life under any other president. Reagan faked military ferocity at Grenada. According to my memory, Reagan was moot after the bombing of the U.S. Marines barracks in Beirut, in October 1983, in which over 267 Marines were killed. It was the "final nail in the coffin" for the Reagan peace initiative. By March 30, 1984, under intense Congressional pressure, Reagan pulled the United States out of the UN multinational force that he had helped create. He let slide the Islamo Facsists. I remember this under "The Gipper's watch"....Thus everything that could be done to set up the sacrifice was now complete:

I still believe that between the Republican Party's longing to appear "mainstream" and the national political media's fear of appearing to give in to "fringe elements," that Paul's quest for the nomination fall short in the end...But as I have said before, Lord help both parties if he decides to run as a third-party candidate and that is extremely problematic. As I try to remind my friends who were around in 1980, Reagan was considered by the mainstream Republican establishment to be as kooky as many label Paul as being. What Paul lacks is Reagan's movie-star looks, a good line of crap, precision delivery of his lines, and the credibility that comes with having been governor of California. Even without those attributes, Paul has managed to become a candidate that they seems almost cult-like in their zeal. Believe it or not, that's what we thought of the Reagan crowds that gathered early in his bid for president in 1980.

Americans are now more idiotic then ever and that's what scares me. Can anyone who is a thinker imagine if Ron Paul won the presidency. OH no worse...how about Hillary, or the sneaky Muslim, christian wanna be, or how about the court jester, doll face Edwards. You know what America stop building bathrooms with foot baths for the heathens and finance more churches because we need to be united in prayer. God is the only one who can save us from the presidential props in 2008.

Tom Tancredo has my vote

The latest polls show Tancredo getting about 2% in Iowa and 1% in New Hampshire. He had a few "protest votes" early on, but now people are getting behind candidates they think really have a chance to win - and Tancredo's not one of them what a shame.
You can already sense that he's getting virtually no press time: the national news media - even his former friends who used to give him publicity - are focusing on the real candidates now.
And there's really not much else outrageous for Tancredo to say. Once you've advocated bombing religious sites as the centerpiece of your foreign policy, I mean really, what else can you do?

Tancredo will withdraw from the presidential race after these miserable results come in on Iowa caucus and New Hampshire primary day. The real question now is whether he'll run for re-election in Colorado's 6th Congressional District.I hope that he will.

Reform Cable TV

I strongly object to being made to pay for cable and satellite channels I do not watch.

I am disgusted to learn that I am being forced to help pay for programs containing unspeakable vulgarity, profanity and even sexual perversions as gross as bestiality. The trend at this sick programming is creeping into some basic cable channels. The perverts have made this programming available to as many as 80 million children across the U.S.

It took me 4 months to have Direct TV, take off there premium channels. Meantime my daughter, who was 11 years old, saw dozens of movies that were lesbian related, vulgar, profanity and other sexual perversions. I teach my daughter to love, to value, and procreate according to catholic teachings.

Its inexcusable for the cable industry to force me to pay for this kind of content with my monthly cable/satellite subscription and worse to pay for programs I have no interest in.
My case and point is this oddity at the hands of Comcast. I am forced by "Comcast" cable to subscribe to there perverted basic cable, just to get the Internet service as cheap as possible. Its appalling. I am not a game person, I do not Golf, I don't ski, skydive, bunji jump and risk my life so most channels are not necessary.

American consumers have always benefited when they have been given a choice about what products they want to purchase. Now gas is at $3.15 a gallon, which may kill cable TV altogether. I think if Chavez has his way and gas goes to 200.00 a barrel. I can imagine how many people will drop cable/satellite TV altogether, and go back to rabbit ears.
The deep-pocketed cable industry has been carried on the backs of American consumers long enough. The cable industry's mandatory bundled pricing for packages of channels that include grossly offensive content featuring foul language, explicit and graphic sexuality and sick violence is anti-competitive and anti-family.

I had, a la carte, programming when I first bought an Earth Station system until the companies, in existence today, bought them out and eliminated the reason I got a satellite system in the first place.

Along with millions of other Americans, I strongly support Cable Choice and urge you to act to make Cable Choice reforms the law of the land.

Philippines Mall Explosion, Again

A powerful explosion ripped through three floors of a shopping mall in the heart of Manila's financial district Friday, killing eight people, injuring scores and sending police and troops on the highest state of alert.

President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo said "circumstances indicate it is highly probable that it was caused by an explosive device." Deborah Kerr, dies at 86, a fine actress and classy lady

The story is a memorable study in the character of two people who are brought together by fate and bond together in a order to survive. He voices his frustration that he loves Sister Angela and that he considers her devotion to her vows to be pointless, since they are stuck on the island "like Adam and Eve." She runs out into a tropical rain and subsequently fbecomes quite ill. Corporal Allison, now sober and contrite, finds her shivering with chills. He carries her back but sees that the Japanese are returning in much greater force, and is forced to hide them in the cave again.

Allison sneaks into the Japanese camp to get some blankets for her to stay warm from her shivers. He kills a soldier who discovers him in the act, but that alerts the enemy to his presence. In an effort to force him out into the open, the Japanese set fire to the vegetation. The fires is a beacon to the guns of the US Navy. Suddenly the American Naval forces shell the island. See the movie for the ending, and needless to sayI write about this movie because its about the loss of comaradey that today no longer exists in our society.

The movie is a timeless classic and runs to 106 min. Widescreen is a must to appreciate the visual aspects of the film.

As a child I watched Disney movies that portrays magpies and vultures as real estate agents and politicians. The

2008 election reminds me of those cartoons. Look at Mitt Romney, Rudy Juliani, so polished so about face on issues that now are haunting there candidacy. Quite honest, except for Duncan Hunter I see no one I trust or believe in except for someone who is not running.

I disagree with Rusty Humphries, who thinks Michael Savage is not presidential material and should stay a talk show host. Well, what is Presidential material? This is a good example of how Congress really works. The "John Doe" measure passed the House on a 304-121 vote, which means that many Democrats didn't want to go on record as opposing the measure. Instead, they killed it quietly in conference committee. So now Democrats in "swing" districts--those must be the ones where voters take seriously the risk of terrorist attack--can tell voters that they voted for the measure, and take no responsibility for the fact it never became law. This dodge is as old as the Republic.
It also shows the importance of party affiliation. If the Republicans still controlled Congress, a majority of conferees never would have voted to strip "John Doe" protection out of the bill.

“Democrats are trying to find any technical excuse to keep immunity out of the language of the bill to protect citizens, who in good faith, report suspicious activity to police or law enforcement,” Mr. King said in an interview last night. “This is a slap in the face of good citizens who do their patriotic duty and come forward, and it caves in to radical Islamists,” Mr. King said.
“I don’t see how you can have a homeland security bill without protecting people who come forward to report suspicious activity,” Mr. King said. Republicans aides say they will put up a fight with Democrats when the conference committee begins at 1 p.m., to reinsert the language, but that public pressure is also needed.

Fresh from their all-night effort to force surrender on the U.S. military in Iraq, some Democrats on Capitol Hill appear intent on using the dark-of-night (figuratively, if not literally) to another, grievous misdeed: Trying to eliminate one of the most important anti-terror provisions adopted by Congress since 9/11. This legislation is the so-called “King amendment,” which is designed to ensure that public-spirited citizens are not discouraged, let alone penalized, for doing their civic duty by informing the authorities of activities that could be associated with terrorism.

As the brilliant former counterterrorism prosecutor and legal analyst Andy McCarthy observes in a posting on National Review Online today, the King amendment’s opponents in the congressional leadership understand that the overwhelming, bipartisan support for this legislation in the House and Senate leave them few options. In fact, as a practical matter, the only way they could dispose of a provision which was initiated by the ranking member of the House Homeland Security Committee, Rep. Pete King of New York, after the insidious Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) brought suit against several “John Does” and adopted by the House of Representatives by a vote of 304-121 would be to snuff it in a conference committee. Word on the Hill is that it could be attempted TODAY.

Such a gambit should be made more difficult by the inclusion of similar language in the Senate version of what has come to be called the “9/11 Bill,” thanks to strong support in that chamber from, among others, Senate Homeland Security and Government Affairs Committee Chairman Joe Lieberman of Connecticut and his ranking minority member, Susan Collins of Maine. Still, Speaker Nancy Pelosi and her lieutenants are reportedly hoping to use a technicality – the fact that the King amendment was to a railroad security bill rather than the 9/11 bill – to strip it from the conference report. By so doing, the minority of the House that voted against the King amendment and that is made up of most radical left-wing members of their caucus would have the last word, to the delight of their Islamist friends at CAIR.

Making such a point of order would, of course mean that a similar objection could be registered to every other aspect of the railroad legislation – which includes a number of provisions near-and-dear to the hearts of Democrats, as well as Republicans on the conference committee. Unless, that is, no one is paying attention and the dastardly deed can be accomplished behind closed doors and out of the glare the public’s eye.

Today was a great day in the 110th Congress as the Senate defeated the amnesty bill by a vote of 46 - 53. Our principled Texas Senators, Kay Bailey Hutchison and John Cornyn, STOOD up for Texas and for the rule of law despite immense pressure from Democrats and the White House.
To stop this dangerous and destructive amnesty bill will rank as one of the most important things TO ever do in Congress. America already faces a crushing national debt of over $29,000 per person. On top of this burden, the Government Accountability Office estimates that every American would need to pay at least $170,000 to satisfy the existing obligations of Social Security, welfare, Medicare, Medicaid and all other entitlement programs.
The Heritage Foundation, and they estimate the costs of the bill at $2.6 TRILLION because the amnesty would legalize all THIRTY MILLION illegal aliens and their immediate families and make them eligible for our overburdened social programs. History proves that the vast majority of newly legalized illegal aliens will draw far more dollars in government services than they will pay in taxes. Worst of all, amnesty combined with the totalization agreement that the Social Security Administration signed with Mexico, would allow every illegal alien from Mexico and their immediate family anywhere in the world to receive Social Security, and they would vest after only SIX quarters! Law abiding American citizens do not vest until after 40 quarters. (I expect to enact a law that will block the Mexican totalization agreement from going into effect). THE IDEA OF SOCIAL SECURITY FOR ILLEGALS IS A TRAVESTY TO AMERICANS AND SHOULD BE STOPPED.
It is very important that we all stay vigilant and that we familiarize ourselves with the details of this amnesty bill because I expect the Democrats will try to resurrect it. kENNEDY HAD THE AUDACITY TO TELL EVERYONE THAT AMNESTY WOULD BECOME LAW, WHAT A DISCONNECT WITH AMERICA. So with the help of the the Bush Administration deliberate subversion of the Republican Party, a little assist from the mainstream media, and because of the absence of the conservative base, the morons at the ballot box usher in the new set of useful idiots into our congress.
I blame the American voter who attends the voting experience emotionally instead of ruling objectively. After the loss of 8,000 American lives at the hands of Muslim jihadists in the last couple of decades, the voters in Minnesota, install a muslim steadfast tin soldier into the halls of congress.
As with many muslims right away there is the assault on everyone around them and so heaven help the American people. .Ellison has made it known that he wishes to be sworn into office on the Koran, the "holy" book of Islam, rather than the Bible. This has raised eyebrows on the political right, and many view it as an affront on American "civilization", which is, in their view, of "Judeo-Christian" origin, however you all put him there. It does not stop there.
Ellison's pledge to the "sharia" rather than the Constitution is very clear. Ellison will say the same words as every other member of Congress. The only variation will be that this American Muslim will be sworn in on his "holy" text, which happens to not be a Bible. Still, suspicion persists, and fears of his "jihad" against American civilization have found support among civilizations warriors, with the exception of the dummies at the ballot box.

At least now Ellison can get a breath of fresh air as long as Tom Tancredo doesn't tote on his cigar. All minority characters of the time had to undergo discrimination, or what was the use of making them non-white? Accordingly, Johnny was suffering from prejudice when he was introduced as a lieutenant in the World War II U.S. Army Air Corps, in DC's All-American Men of War #82 (December, 1960). But he earned the respect of those around him by executing a spectacular aerial maneuver, by which he singlehandedly wrecked a squadron of Nazi bombers. Their commander was fatally wounded in the battle, but with his dying words, recommended Johnny as his successor. Army brass agreed, and Johnny was thereafter the leader of "The Happy Braves". This story, as well as most subsequent ones in the series, was written by Robert Kanigher (editor of the war line, also known for westerns such as Johnny Thunder, superheroes such as Metal Men and much more) and drawn by Irv Novick. If the new name of the outfit, plus his skin color, plus the title of the feature, weren't enough to keep the reader aware of his ethnic heritage, he also had an Indian-style recurring vision. Cloud formations resembling a Navajo warrior on a horse (reminiscent of one his father had seen at his birth) repeatedly inspired him to greater effort. Master Sergeant Hollenbaugh demonstrated the highest degree of courage and excellent leadership through his distinguished performance as Team Leader while engaged in Urban Combat Operations. His heroic actions throughout one of the most intensive firefights of the Operation Iraqi Freedom campaign were directly responsible for preventing enemy insurgent forces from overrunning the United States Force. Master Sergeant Hollenbaugh personally eliminated multiple enemy-controlled weapon positions, essential in turning the tide of the enemy's ground-force assault upon a United States Marine Corps Platoon. His actions under fire as a Leader were performed with marked distinction and bravery.'

On April 26, 2004, the Special Forces soldier was with a group of about three dozen Marines on the outskirts of Fallujah. They had taken over two houses in front of American lines when they were attacked by more than 300 enemy fighters. The attack killed one Marine and wounded 25 others, leaving few American defenders. At one point, according to an account in the Fayetteville Observer, "Hollenbaugh was the only man standing. ‘I was just running from hole to hole putting a few rounds here and there to make them feel like they were dealing with more than one guy,’ he said." The hero waited as he was accosted by Muslims scaling the wall and he dropped a grenade on the enemy. According to his citation, "Hollenbaugh personally eliminated multiple enemy-controlled weapon positions," preventing the enemy from overrunning the American troops. Most of the American soldiers are depicted as brave, honest, dedicated men, laying their lives on the line every day as real men are portrayed. Nevertheless...as "Attack" shows us...sometimes people are put in positions of authority for reasons that have nothing to do with merit--whether it is the military, in business, government or other fields of endeavour. In this case, of course, it is a problem that costs lives. It is a powerful message in today's war situation.

Robert Mitchum as a crude, simple, but with a golden heart marine. Deborah Kerr plays the nun. The two characters are extremely endearing and,when the movie is over,it seems we've always known Sister Angela and Corporal Allison. "it's a gourmet's dish" when the nun is eating turtle soup.I love the way the scenarists show the analogies between a nun's and a marine's lives. I thank God that the movie was filmed in 1957 and did not get into an R rating mode.

Mitchum is splendid as a MAN protecting Sister Angela and taking care of there survival. A true character study.

Ballistics reports, used in the trial of Ignacio “Nacho” Ramos, one of two Border Patrol agents convicted of shooting fleeing drug dealer Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila, do not support the prosecution’s claim the bullet was fired from Ramos’ gun, according to documents provided to WND from Andy Ramirez, Chairman of the Friends of the Border Patrol.
