Salvatore L. Didonato 1956 to 2010 a best friend

Sal L.Didonato, 1956-2010, lead guitarist for Gary's Gang, and one of my best friends, passed away just yesterday morning.

Sal was a great son, a fun guy, a serious man and I imagine, no I know, he was a great father. He had to be because he had the perfect example from his own father, Vincent a man, I too respected and admired. Sal loved his daughter to the max and his family. He was like a brother to me.

I had the pleasure to share a stage with Sal, lead guitarist, Kevin Byrnes, rhythm guitar, yours truly Alvin Maldonado playing bass and Ricky Obwarfer on the drums. Our rock band together "Hot Ash" was the only group that could play "Stairway to Heaven" to the T, and how could we loose with Sal's vocal and guitar work.
